SAFETYCOR is a one-man team owned and operated by Gary Corrigal. This means you aren’t just hiring a business, you are hiring a person. Going well beyond the typical contractor relationship, Gary has a strong investment in the success of your company. With work experience in a variety of labour-intensive positions, more than 15 years in operations management, and 9 years in health and safety, Gary is comfortable in any environment. He’s worked with a diverse group of businesses of all sizes in 40+ countries, providing everything from advice and guidance to training and analytics.
Setting SAFETYCOR apart is Gary’s drive to make business personal. He doesn’t believe in one-size fits all and believes that the best approach is a customizable one.
Completing his MBA from the University of Alberta in 2006 has allowed Gary to finesse his research and writing capabilities, extending his services by taking OH&S to another level and providing business operation services as well. Gary is a Quality Management Systems (QMS) 9001 Certified Lead Auditor, so is able to develop, implement and manage quality management systems to be compliant with ISO 9001.

Contractor Management
Legislational requirements protect the health and safety of every employee. SAFETYCOR will ensure contractor programs are operating in accordance with legislational requirements and ensure that appropriate due diligence is implemented while managing subcontractors on a controlled worksite.
Safety Registries Management
Management and updating of electronic databases such as Complyworks, ISNetworld, and PICS can be very time consuming. SAFETYCOR can write policies, answer questions, and keep documents updated on a client’s behalf. With the ability to manage the entire process, SAFETYCOR can handle as little or as much as you want.
Inspections
Employers have a legislative obligation to identify and communicate all hazards at the workplace. SAFETYCOR is happy to assist your company to ensure compliance with safety guidelines at all levels. This can include due diligence, inspecting equipment, or even other types of inspections. We identify safe and at-risk behavior on behalf of the employer and ensure that regular inspections bring any issues to light.
Incident Investigations
Our holistic approach to incidents makes us stand out; our investigations evaluate the entire incident in order to resolve any operational safety issues. Using root causation theory and specific interview techniques, we work to identify root causes and come up with corrective action to ensure that incidences will not occur again. We can also provide a coaching and mentoring role throughout the process with your in-house safety advisor.

Certified external auditor for Enform*, Alberta Association of Safety Partnerships (AASP), and the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba.

Training manuals are specifically written for our clients on an individual basis, having a holistic approach that takes business operations, industry guidelines, and legal requirements into account.
SAFETYCOR excels at improving existing health and safety programs through data collection and statistical analysis. Documentation is key to avoiding incidents, so it makes sense that documentation is a major focus in our training programs. With an in-depth understanding of industry legislation,SAFETYCOR will ensure you are meeting all your legal obligations to become COR certified. When your manual is uploaded to a safety registry such as ISNetworks, you can rest assured you’ll have a professional and polished product that reflects your company’s commitment to safety.
